Independent Spirit Awards 2019: See the full winners list

The Film Independent Spirit Awards are like the Oscars for your hardcore cinephile friend who won’t stop saying Lynne Ramsay was robbed of a Best Director nom for You Were Never Really Here. The ceremony takes place the day before the Academy Awards in a tent on the beach, and the awards focus on films not funded by the major studios, which often means recognizing smaller and less mainstream fare than the Academy does. That’s especially true this year, as none of the Best Feature Spirit Award nominees are up for the Best Picture Oscar. (Best Picture nominees Roma and The Favourite could take home the Best International Film trophy, however.)

Hosted by Aubrey Plaza, the 34th Film Independent Spirit Awards will air live on IFC Saturday, Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT. Check out the full list of nominees below. Winners will be updated as they are announced.
